'Dora' Throw Pillow Sham
Hand-tied tassels adorn each corner of this silky throw pillow covers, which are hand-embroidered in the highlands of Mexico by a community of weavers who use traditional methods passed down from generation to generation.
First, the heavy cotton is hand loomed. Next, the delicate motif is carefully embroidered. Last, the sham is cut and sewn by hand with decorative contrast stitchwork.
The concentric diamond pattern on the Mustard and Sage shams depicts "Ojo de Dios" or the eye of god, and symbolizes looking inside or seeing the unseen. The White & Black sham features two alternating pre-Hispanic designs, most likely representing a frog and a butterfly.
Fits 18x18 pillow insert (not included). (Tip: We recommend these affordable and sustainable inserts.)
